After years of helping his girlfriend with business expenses, family needs, and other costly requests, one man finally decided his savings needed to come first. He wanted to invest and eventually buy a house, so when she asked for another large sum, he said no. Her response was immediate: she ended their six-year relationship and blocked him everywhere.
It's normal to take things for granted when they go on for a lot of time. In this case, we have a girlfriend who has been receiving money from her boyfriend in order to financialy sustained her business. At first, he was happy to help as he felt that he was also a part of it. As time went on, the requests for money increased, and even her family demanded money from him, which he paid.
However, after six years of lending money and a lot of struggles in the relationship, he decided to cut it and never give the woman money ever again. Of course, she felt betrayed and sad, causing her to end a six-year relationship that had been going on since they were kids. They even did long-distance for three years, meaning there had to be a stronger bond between them that went beyond money… but this was not the case.
Although he did well not giving more money, which caused him to lose this woman, I can see if he feels betrayed himself. Because he was. If that were me, I couldn't help but wonder if all along the relationship was only "working" because of the money, rather than love or compassion. Life taught him a good lesson here, and now we hope that he can find a girl who's willing to be with him for what he is, and not for the money he can provide.
