Florence Pugh just revealed her favorite scene from her upcoming blockbusters, and her answer caught everyone off guard. The actress teased a mysterious Dune 3 moment with a co-star she would only identify through a playful rhyme.
Florence Pugh picks a Robert Pattinson scene in Dune 3 as favorite in recent projectsFlorence Pugh revealed her favorite scene across her recent projects during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She named a Dune 3 sequence involving Robert Pattinson as her top pick from the film.
During the interview’s rapid-fire segment, Fallon asked Pugh to choose her favorite scene to shoot across Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Dune 3 and Avengers: Doomsday. Pugh selected a Dune scene but kept details vague due to secrecy restrictions. She hinted at her scene partner by saying the name “rhymes with Bobert Bapithin.” She then jokingly described the exchange as “I say something, they say something, I say something, they say something.”
Pattinson plays Scytale in Dune 3, a Tleilaxu Face Dancer who plots to dethrone Timothée Chalamet’s Paul Atreides. Pugh portrays Princess Irulan, Paul’s wife and daughter of the former Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV. The film takes place 17 years after Dune: Part Two and adapts Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah.
Denis Villeneuve co-wrote the screenplay with Brian K. Vaughan and directed the film. Principal photography ran from July to November 2025 across Budapest and Abu Dhabi. Villeneuve shot the film primarily on 65 mm film stock with select IMAX sequences. The production also featured a third “psychedelic unit” that created experimental imagery for the film.
Dune 3 also stars Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Javier Bardem and Josh Brolin. Warner Bros. Pictures will release the film in theaters on December 18, 2026. Early IMAX ticket sales in August crashed multiple ticketing websites due to overwhelming demand. The film opens on the same date as Avengers: Doomsday but holds a three-week IMAX exclusivity window over the Marvel sequel.
