The Brand Builders Alliance is a year round training, coaching and community platform for designers, strategists and creative entrepreneurs who want to master branding and build stronger businesses.
Members gain access to expert masterclasses, live coaching, practical resources, structured learning pathways and a global community of brand builders who share advice, feedback and opportunities. Its central belief is simple: no one builds alone.
Each year, BBA awards a full scholarship to a brand builder who demonstrates ambition, commitment and the potential to make meaningful progress with the right support.
This Brand Builders Alliance case study follows last year’s scholarship recipient, Hailey Fackrell, founder of Greater Heights Marketing. When Hailey applied, she was struggling with confidence, inconsistent leads, unclear offers and uncertainty around what to charge.
Over the following year, Hailey simplified her services, repositioned her business and doubled the value of her combined branding and website projects from approximately $6,000 to $12,000. She is now working with fewer clients while moving toward her highest revenue year yet.
In the case study below, Hailey shares where she started, what changed inside BBA and how greater clarity and confidence helped her build a more focused and valuable business.

Results at a glance- 2X increase in the value of combined branding and website engagements
- Increased standalone website pricing by approximately 1.3X
- Simplified multiple packages into clearer core offers
- Worked with fewer clients while moving toward her highest revenue year
- Built the confidence to charge based on the value of her work
Hailey Fackrell is the founder of Greater Heights Marketing, a branding, web design and systems studio based in Boise, Idaho.
She started the business after graduating from Boise State University, driven by a clear personal goal: to build meaningful work while having the flexibility to stay home with her son.
Hailey had taught herself many of the creative and technical skills needed to serve her clients. She had built a functioning business, but after several years, she knew something needed to change.
The challengeWhen Hailey applied for the Brand Builders Alliance scholarship, she was struggling with confidence, inconsistent leads and uncertainty around her pricing.
Her services had become spread across multiple packages. She was considering courses, digital products, community building and several other possible directions, but lacked clarity about where to focus.
She also wanted access to other experienced creatives who understood both sides of the work: delivering strong branding and building a sustainable business.
“I wanted a space where I could ask other creatives how they do it. I needed help with both the business side and the design side.”
Hailey did not need more disconnected information. She needed direction, feedback and people who could help her apply what she was learning.
Why she joined BBAHailey first encountered BBA through the Brand Builders Summit, which she described as the best summit she had attended.
The depth of the sessions stood out, but so did the participation and sense of connection. It gave her a glimpse of what an active community of ambitious brand builders could offer beyond a conventional course.
When the BBA scholarship opportunity opened, she applied.
Her ambition, openness and commitment to building a better business stood out among dozens of applicants, and she was selected as the scholarship recipient.
Finding focus and supportInside BBA, Hailey used the learning library, session replays, coaching, community feedback and Accountability Pods to focus on the areas that mattered most to her business.
Because she was balancing client work with caring for her son, attending every session live was not realistic. Having organised pathways and accessible replays allowed her to learn on her own schedule.
More importantly, she could find relevant support whenever a new challenge emerged.
One month, she might need help with pricing. Later, it could be positioning, design or refining her services.
“It’s not just for one level. Wherever you are in your journey, there is something relevant to help you.”
The community gave Hailey a place to ask questions without feeling judged. Members shared advice, resources and even offered private conversations to help her work through specific challenges.
She was no longer trying to solve everything alone.
Simplifying the businessOne of Hailey’s major goals was to reposition Greater Heights Marketing through a redesigned website and clearer copy.
With feedback and accountability from BBA, she completed the redesign and began simplifying her services.
Instead of filling several packages with different combinations of deliverables, she moved toward one clearer core offer for each service. A coaching conversation helped her recognise that her custom services deserved greater focus.
That clarity made it easier to communicate her value, present her services and establish a stronger minimum engagement.
Doubling her project valueAs her offers became clearer, Hailey gained the confidence to increase her pricing.
The value of her combined branding and website engagement grew by approximately 2X. Her standalone website pricing also increased by approximately 1.3X.
Clients have since booked her at the new level, giving her evidence that the market was willing to pay for the value she provides.
The result is a more focused and efficient business. Hailey has served fewer clients this year while moving toward her highest revenue year yet.
“I’m serving fewer clients than I ever have, and it will probably be my highest revenue year. That is significant to me.”
This was not simply a pricing adjustment. It was a shift in how Hailey understood and communicated the value of her work.
More confidence and more freedomThe commercial progress matters, but Hailey’s reason for building the business has always been personal.
Greater Heights Marketing gives her the flexibility to remain at home with her son while contributing meaningful income to her family. During a year filled with personal challenges, the business provided valuable stability and support.
The scholarship helped Hailey improve the business without sacrificing the reason she started it.
Hailey’s Brand Builders Alliance review“Before BBA, I wasn’t charging what I was worth and I wasn’t very confident. Now, I’m much more confident and able to charge for the value I bring. BBA accelerated that journey.”
When asked to share her honest Brand Builders Alliance review, Hailey pointed to the combination of practical education, community support and access to people who were willing to help her work through real business challenges.
She could ask honest questions, learn from more experienced brand builders and receive practical support from people who wanted to see her succeed.
Her advice to another designer or strategist considering BBA is simple:
“Join it. The community alone has been incredibly valuable. It is a supportive space where you can ask questions, connect with people and know that someone will show up to help.”
Hailey’s journey is still unfolding, but the direction is clear: fewer distractions, stronger offers, greater confidence and a business capable of supporting the life she wants to build.
Her experience reflects the central belief behind BBA: No One Builds Alone.

Hello, today I’m joined by Hailey Fackrell, founder of Greater Heights Marketing and the recipient of last year’s Brand Builders Alliance scholarship. And over the past year, Hailey has been part of BBA, developing her skills, growing her confidence, and working on the next chapter of her business, I wanted to sit down with her to talk honestly about where she was before joining, what the spirit the experience has been like, and what has changed since receiving the scholarship. So, Hailey, welcome to this little interview.
Hailey Fackrell 03:39
Thank you, thank you, Jacob.
Jacob Cass 03:41
So let’s start with a little bit about yourself. Could you just introduce yourself, Greater Heights Marketing, the type of work you do?
Hailey Fackrell 03:50
Sure. Yeah, I’d be happy to. So yeah, I started Greater Heights Marketing in 2021. I got my degree in marketing from Boise State University, based in Boise, Idaho, in the U.S. and just kind of was one of those crazy people who decided to jump into entrepreneurship right after graduation. It was like May, and I just graduated, and I was like, I just want to start my own business, mainly so that I could be a stay-at-home mom. I didn’t have any kids yet. Now I have a three and a half-year-old boy and get to run my business from home, so that’s a little bit about that. And I mainly offer branding, web design, and I offer systems and tech setup as well. So those are the main services that I offer. And yeah, I think that’s that’s a little introduction there. So yeah,
Jacob Cass 04:38
yeah, we we had dozens of applications for the scholarship, and you shared a lot of information about, you know, your journey, what your ambitions were, which was kind of what stood out was the ambition and the fact that you were committing to, you know, getting out there and growing your business, and it really shone through. So congratulations again, well deserved. I want to ask though if you can take it back, right for like a year ago, like where were you in your business when you applied for the scholarship, and what were you struggling with most?
Hailey Fackrell 05:11
Yeah, so I had been in business for I think it would have been five years because now it’s been six years, so about almost a year ago, and you know I think I was just really struggling with like confidence and with you know just like questions that like I’m self-taught you know other than having the marketing degree which is you know really helpful obviously but it’s more general like everything design that I learned was pretty much after college that I just learned you know Adobe Illustrator learned different web website builders and platforms and so I think I just you know wanted to wanted a space where you know I could ask other creatives and people doing what what I like to do, like how they do it, because you know even just like the business side or the design side, I think both sides I needed kind of help on to kind of figure out like where I needed to refine things, and I wasn’t getting super consistent leads a lot of the time, and you know, just kind of like wanted to refine that. I was like, you know, kind of you know unsure about, you know, just pricing and you know packages and offers, so all the business side stuff, and then also, you know, had questions obviously because I taught myself about like, you know, brand strategy or like the design of brands and websites and how other people went about it. So that’s kind of where I was at, and kind of I was just trying to figure out like the best path because you know there’s so many different distractions in business, and so I was like, do I like develop a a course or do I develop like a I don’t know like a community or you know just different things going through in my mind of like digital products or things like that and trying to figure out you know if I went that route or if I should just you know just stick to my main you know custom offers. So
Jacob Cass 06:58
yeah, wow, those a lot of things you just mentioned there, like uncertainty, leads the lack of confidence. You’re looking for a community. You know your packaging, your offers, the business side of building, you know, a brand, brand in service or an agency, and like focus. Right, there’s shiny objects everywhere. So, what at that point made you want to join BBA?
Hailey Fackrell 07:27
Yeah, so I really like I saw I think that was my I want to say that was like the second year that you did the Brand Builder Summit I think because I think this was the third year I believe, and so I’d attended I think the year previous as well and I just thought it was really great, like it was probably the best summit that I’ve ever attended, and I don’t say that lightly because I mean I feel like some summits are just kind of like okay, but I felt like you know the valuable, so I just I just knew that like you know when you were talking about it, and I think I attended the last year like the the overview that you did in the summit about BBA, and I just was like, “This is really cool. It’s something that I really want to be a part of. So,
Jacob Cass 08:06
yeah, I think it because it goes beyond like a
Hailey Fackrell 08:08
course. Yeah, yeah, the live tour. Yeah, I was like really interested because it goes way beyond like just education of like a course or something. I think it’s cool that you can just like ask you know a question, and that people will actually answer it because a lot of communities that I’ve, you know, I haven’t been in too many in the past, but like ones that I’ve heard of, or you know, it’s like kind of a ghost town. So I feel like it’s, you know, people are, I, I believe, you know, people are pretty active in BBA. Like usually you’ll get, you know, quite a few responses. Some people are actually there. So that’s the the big thing. It’s I’m sure really hard to build a community like that because you can’t like make people respond, right? You just have to like kind of, I guess you know, pick members or or allow people to join that that will be active. So,
Jacob Cass 08:51
yeah, there’s there’s a difference with communities if you know the the caliber of the people inside and people want to build and grow and their ambition is there. So it it does attract a certain type of clientele, which you’ve seen. I just want to jump back to the summit because you said it’s the best summit you’ve been to. Like, were there any specific examples to for the reasons behind that?
Hailey Fackrell 09:12
Yeah, yeah. So I like like the topics. I think the topics were really great of of like you know what the summit presentations were about. But I think everything was really like interactive as well. Like I’m a really competitive person, so I think like obviously competitions, whether you win anything or not, are super fun for me. And I think for other people, just participating and you know just like the bingo or like the small. I think it’s just the small little things along the way that make it really fun and you know get you to engage and participate. So it’s not necessarily just about the like the prizes are fun, but it’s like you know, obviously the goal is knowledge either way. So like either way, you’re gonna end up with something. And you know, I think too, like those presentations aren’t just like surface level. Like it’s really deep, deep stuff as well. So not just like you know, okay, we’re just gonna fill some time here, but it’s like it’s really valuable. So I think that that’s kind of what I would say as far as the summit, and you know, making some great connections with people too.
Jacob Cass 10:10
It’s amazing to hear that. So thank you for sharing just the community and the the depth and the engagement as well. It’s not just a ghost town watching pre-recorded things as people interacting, and you can have some fun along the way. It’s not just all all business. So it gave a little bit of a glimpse into I guess BBA and how that was structured as well. Yeah. All right. Well, let’s talk about what’s actually changed. Right. It’s been a year since you’ve joined. So what’s changed in how you approach branding, your business, your clients, and anything else you want to mention.
Hailey Fackrell 10:44
Yeah, so I think that you know I was in several of the the pods as well. So I think that that was you know pretty like you know sometimes you have success with the pod you know depending on who’s in it and outlining schedules I think was hard for like the groups that I was in but I still feel like I got a lot out of that just being accountable to other people and I wasn’t really able to attend a lot of live things. That’s just you know kind of my thing to be honest. Like I think you know you do a great job of making sure like there’s different time zones and things. It’s just kind of like even if you know like my time zone is like pretty limited because I’m a mom, so it’s like basically I’ll take like all client calls like after 6p.m. my time and anything during the day I just can’t. But you know, if I if I what you know wasn’t like you know a stay at home mom that there would be options for me to attend. But I feel like it was. I guess the point I’m making is it was super valuable as far as just watching replays as well. So in the just the community part. But I’ll just interrupt. Yeah, as far as what’s changed.
Jacob Cass 11:42
Let me. Yeah. So in terms of like what’s changed with branding, maybe you couldn’t attend live calls as much and everything. But when you think back, you know, it’s been a year. How how would you say your approach to branding or your business or your clients has changed?
Hailey Fackrell 11:59
Yeah. So I I think really it’s it’s given me like I said I didn’t have much confidence before so it’s given me a lot more confidence and kind of helped what I was saying about the pods is it kind of helped me focus more on my goals and you like kind of avoid that shiny object syndrome so I kind of you know had a goal like when I joined that I wanted to redo like redesign my website and rewrite my website copy, so I have done that. And obviously, it’s like the website’s always a work in progress, and I want to add some more pages. But like that was a huge goal of mine, and was able to get some good feedback on that, like through the process, and not just kind of be alone, figuring it all out alone. And you know, I have been able to raise my prices as well. So, like, not by like a huge amount, but like pretty significant. You know, for me, from you know, sharing
Jacob Cass 12:51
examples of like percentage increases or anything else.
Hailey Fackrell 12:56
Yeah, so it’s not it’s not like hugely significant, and I think that’s just like I feel like I’m just kind of slowly raising over time, and it kind of just I’m kind of like not sure how much you know how much I can push it really like as far as pricing goes. But yeah, it was I want to say before I was charging I think like 4500 for a website with copy. Like I read the copy as well, and the design like design and development, basically. So, and then now I’m charging like six 6000 plus for a website alone. And then, thing I had like several packages where I was like charging like 2200 to like I want to say like maybe 3800 or something like four. I guess we could just say 4000, like 20 2200 to 4000, or however you want to want to say that. But then I, you know, like you know, I think we had a we had a coaching call at one point, and you were like, you should just really just like focus on the custom services and just kind of eliminate those other packages. And so now I just kind of have one package for each. Typically, I mean, it’s still kind of like custom pricing, and I kind of want to shift more to value-based pricing as well, but kind of like having that number that is like a like a floor, I guess, or I guess just kind of I don’t know if it would be a ceiling. No, it would be a floor, I guess. Of what? Sorry, I’m trying to think here. The lowest that I would that I would take on that project for, I guess. So I think right now it’s sitting at about 6k for each for branding and web design, so it’s like I guess if I do both, it would be 12k instead of like I think before it was like maybe like 6k. So I think for both projects totaled like doubled, but sometimes I’ll just do one or the other for a client, or I’ll do both. But I feel like that’s pretty significant for me from where I was and having so many different packages, and so like, I mean, you can like I had like three packages for each, which I think could still be a good approach, but I kind of like where I’m at, just like with simplifying it. So I kind of felt like with my packages that it was like too complicated, and I was just trying to like fill packages with things like with space. So I think it just really helped me like clarify my offers and and raise my pricing. So I feel a lot more confident with that. And I’ve had clients in the last few months book at that price. So I think probably will be raising again. I’m sure too as we go go forward. That’s
Jacob Cass 15:14
amazing, Hailey. And you got to give yourself some slack there because those are big increases when you look at it as percentage, right? So you’re
Hailey Fackrell 15:22
yeah
Jacob Cass 15:22
four to 6k.
Hailey Fackrell 15:24
Yeah,
Jacob Cass 15:24
it’s a big increase, especially this year, and you’re maintaining your business. That’s yeah, it’s a it is significant. Yes. Yeah.
Hailey Fackrell 15:32
Oh yeah, and I should mention too with the pricing thing is that I’ve taken. I have to look in my. I have to probably look in my Google Drive, but I think I’ve only had like four or so clients this year, and it’s about to be probably will be my highest revenue year that I’ve ever had. Which I mean, it’s a part time, part time, you know, job for me, you know, part side gig for me. But it’s like significant for for us, for like my family, and you know, serving less clients, serving less clients than I ever have too, so like that’s significant to me. Is like taking on less clients and also making, you know, probably if I take one more project, definitely hit more.
Jacob Cass 16:09
Profitability wise, it’s a huge improvement.
Hailey Fackrell 16:12
Yeah,
Jacob Cass 16:13
yeah, I’m really glad you said that, and you did mention a few other things right at the start of this, and you mentioned like confidence and clarity and simplification, and the fact that you could focus on those things allowed you to raise your prices, work less, charge more, get some of your time back, and be super mom. So that’s definitely greater heights in my perspective. So congrats on the success there.
Hailey Fackrell 16:39
Thanks. It’s
Jacob Cass 16:39
amazing.
Hailey Fackrell 16:40
Thank you.
Jacob Cass 16:40
Yeah. All right. So, what what would what how do I say this? What would have the what part of BBA has had the greatest impact on you?
Hailey Fackrell 16:53
Um, I think it’s really hard to choose to be honest. But I think like I really got a lot out of watching the education and things like that. So like watching a lot of the replays of like, I think it’s really great how you organized everything. So it’s really easy to find like the different replays and like the areas of business. And really, there’s like so much content that like you’d have to be watching videos like all the time to go through all of it, which is pretty impressive. I mean, I think that’s awesome because there’s there’s other memberships like communities where it’s like they just have like a few videos and it’s kind of like not relevant to where you are. But I feel like like any brand builder or creative could find something where for where they are at, like whether they’ve been doing it for like you know a month or whether they’ve been doing it for like 20 years or something like that, you know, like the range, and so I liked that I was just able to like instead of just like a focused course or something that like I’ve done bought courses in the past, which are helpful. But I feel like this is kind of like for wherever you’re at in your journey. Like you know, this month it could be like I want to help, you know, help with my pricing, and then you know, like a few months later it’s like I need help with like, you know, design. So I think that was really cool. Is is the really well organized, and there’s like so many resources too. So
Jacob Cass 18:07
awesome,
Hailey Fackrell 18:07
yeah.
Jacob Cass 18:08
Thank you. So educational courses, the resources, the fact that we meet you where you are, you can find what you need. It’s not just a small, you know, small group of resources. It’s comprehensive.
Hailey Fackrell 18:20
Yeah, yeah, and I think too, like that, it’s not just for one level. It’s like for wherever you’re at, like whether you’ve been at it forever or just starting. I think is cool.
Jacob Cass 18:28
There’s always something new to learn or improve, or yeah,
Hailey Fackrell 18:32
yeah.
Jacob Cass 18:33
All right, was there a specific result or opportunity or breakthrough that BBA made possible?
Hailey Fackrell 18:42
Um, yeah, I mean, I think I think the biggest breakthrough for me is like obviously, you know, business owners always want to like improve our pricing and our confidence, and like I know I’ve said that like a lot, but that’s really big for me because that’s just like you know the biggest the biggest impact you know on your revenue and on like your confidence and you know in your business and sales calls and presenting to clients and all that kind of, you know, goes through that because before I was like, you know, kind of at a lot lower price, and I was like, I kind of want to eliminate this, but I was like, will people pay this price if I if I increase it? So I think just you know, like feeling that there’s like support there, you know, knowing that, you know that I can you know charge for for my skills and for the value that I bring.
Jacob Cass 19:26
Awesome, confidence and mindset and the fact that you’re supported. You have a crew behind you. Awesome.
Hailey Fackrell 19:32
Yeah.
Jacob Cass 19:32
Well, thank you. Good for sharing that. Yeah. So, what does receiving the scholarship meant to you personally and professionally?
Hailey Fackrell 19:42
Yeah, I think I was really surprised, honestly, to win it. I mean, I just like was filling it out, and I was like, you know, it’d be cool to win this, but I didn’t really expect it. So I, when I got the email, I was like super excited about it because I’d never been a part of anything like that before, and you know, I thought that I thought that it was really a great opportunity because I want to, you know, continue to be a stay-at-home mom, and you know, to do that, like things are obviously getting more. Inflation is more expensive every year, just like the cost of things. And so I was like, I’m going to need to like improve my business and my pricing and just like everything to kind of get this to a better a better place, so that I can continue to stay at home, and you know, it’s really supported supported us this year. As we’ve had a lot of like personal family challenges going on, it’s actually kind of comical at this point. I’m trying to be positive about it, right? But I mean, we’re we’re good. It’s just you know crazy what life throws your way sometimes. This is kind of like one of those years for us, and so that the you know the business like I guess personally has really supported us through that, and I definitely think that BBA helped you know me too to do that to continue to stay at home with my son, and that was what was really important to me. That’s like kind of the reason that I started the business in the first place. So, yeah, love you
Jacob Cass 20:57
mentioned that, Hailey, and it’s so important, right? Like we’re we’re working for a reason, and it’s generally for money to support our friends and well, our family and and friends and our lifestyle, and most importantly to have have freedom, right? To be at home. Yeah, that’s that’s what your aspiration was, and you committed to that, and you realize that okay, well, cost of living is going up. We need something has to change, otherwise nothing changes, right? And you’ve committed to that. And like I said at the beginning, I saw that ambition shine through, and that’s why why you’re here. So
Hailey Fackrell 21:31
yeah,
Jacob Cass 21:32
cool. So I had one one or two final questions. What would you say to another designer or strategist or creative considering Joining BBA,
Hailey Fackrell 21:43
yeah. I mean, I would just say like join it, obviously, because it’s been such a great experience for me, and you know, even just the value in the community alone has been really great. That you know that I can just ask like a question that I have. I don’t. I feel like it’s a really supportive space. Like, there’s not really like a stupid question to ask, which is important too. So, like you know, like you’ve kind of developed like the values of the community over time, and you know, so I felt like really safe asking questions there, and people have been really nice. So I haven’t ever had anybody that’s like, you know, rude or like you know disrespectful or you know just the fact that people do answer your questions, and you know, I think even go beyond that as well. Like I’ve had calls with people one to one, or you know, like phone calls. They’re just like, yeah, call me up tomorrow, and we’ll talk about pricing, or we’ll talk about, you know, whatever. Like, you know, that they’ll just they’ll just basically, or like if they have tools or resources that they’re willing to share that. So I mean, I think it’s really cool because like, there’s other places where, like, we might be considered like competitors or something. I mean, I don’t think that way personally because there’s plenty of work to go around. But I feel like nobody feels like that way. Like it’s just very supportive and people are there for each other and showing up. So definitely, just you know, tell them to join it and to you know that there will be support there for them.
Jacob Cass 23:01
Amazing, thank you. And you kind of touch on our one mantra, which is no one builds alone, and we are a supportive safe, friendly place, and we don’t we don’t tolerate dicks. So they’re out of the yeah, they’re out. Yeah. All right. So one line of one final line. If you can complete this sentence, before BBA I was blank. Now I am blank.
Hailey Fackrell 23:28
Um, I would think about this. I would say like the main thing that that I so before BBI. I can’t even talk. Sorry. Before BBA, I was not charging what I was worth, and not very confident. And after BBA, I am a lot more confident and am able to charge what I’m worth. I think is what I would say. So I think that’s kind of the main main thread of what I’ve been been saying is just kind of the confidence and raising prices and being able to like you know simplify my offerings and things like that has really meant a lot to me and it it’s like you know could could seem like a like a smaller thing but I feel like that’s like a big I guess that’s a pretty big thing right it’s it takes a lot of mindset and a lot of like figuring out your packages and all of that stuff so it it kind of has taken me a long journey to get here, and yeah, I think that BBA definitely accelerated that timeline for sure. So
Jacob Cass 24:28
amazing, Hailey. And you answered one of those questions that always gets asked, which is how to get more clients. And it’s such a multifaceted question because of all those things you mentioned, like mindset and office and packaging, and even sales conversations and all the things that’s that’s how you grow a business. That’s how you get more confidence. That’s how you did all the things that you’re able to achieve. So congratulations and appreciate you sharing your experience within BBA. And yeah, look forward to seeing your continued growth with Greater Hypes going to new hypes.
Hailey Fackrell 25:00
Thanks. Yeah, I appreciate that. Yeah, and I’m definitely like I’m sad to be to be leaving for the moment, but I’m definitely planning on like rejoining again. And I wouldn’t like say that if I didn’t mean it because I really feel like it’s been super helpful for me. So probably I think I think it’s a really valid point, Hailey.
Jacob Cass 25:17
And BBA is designed so you can duck in and out of, we don’t have contracts, and we also have flexible pause periods. And you know, you you can come and go as you please. So there’s seasons in life. Some seasons are busy. Sometimes we go traveling. Sometimes we have family issues. So it’s like, you know, you’re not trapped, and that’s the idea. You can come and go as you please. So, I look forward to seeing you back very shortly. And yeah, thank you again for your time.
Hailey Fackrell 25:48
Yeah, awesome. Thank you so much.
