Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has claimed that soldiers are attempting to prevent him from entering Osun State ahead of the governorship election.
In a post shared on his verified X handle on Saturday, Davido said he had received reliable information that security operatives were planning to stop him from gaining access to the state.
“I’ve been reliably informed that soldiers are trying to prevent me from entering Osun tomorrow, this won’t happen. Every citizen of Nigeria has the right to movement at any point in time,” he wrote.
His remarks come amid heightened political tension as Osun prepares for its governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
