I built my whole workshop around Ryobi ONE+ and own more than 20 tools on the platform, so I usually spend my time arguing the other side of this. Cordless won the drill, the impact driver, the circular saw, and nearly everything I carry to the far corner of my property. It did not win everything. Four tools in my garage stayed corded, and the reason is identical in each case: none of them move while I use them. A battery buys freedom from an outlet, which is worth real money on a tool you walk around with. On a tool bolted to a bench or parked next to a spigot, you pay that premium for mobility you will never use, and you give up power on top of it.
