This 1965 Trojan 200 is a three-wheel, right-hand-drive example that was imported to the US from the UK, where it is said to have been displayed in Lincolnshire’s Bubblecar Museum for some 20 years beginning in the early 2000s. The car was purchased by the seller, DFW Car & Toy Museum, on BaT in November 2025, and it has since resided in their collection. It is powered by a 198cc four-stroke single paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and it is finished in red with chrome trim over a blue tartan plaid cloth interior. Features include a side-hinged front access door, a canvas sunroof, eight curved greenhouse windows, chrome full-width bumpers, 10″ steel wheels, and hydraulic front drum brakes. This Trojan Model 601 is now offered at no reserve as part of the DFW Car & Toy Museum Collection in Fort Worth, Texas, with a Florida title that lists the car as a Heinkel motorcycle.
The Trojan was based on the German-made Kabine, which was developed and sold by aircraft manufacturer Heinkel in response to a post-War prohibition against its manufacture of aircraft. The Kabine’s two-year production run ended in 1958, but the model went on to be produced under license by Los Cedros S.A of Argentina and Trojan Cars Ltd. in the UK, where it was manufactured from 1960 through 1966.
This example is finished in red and features a side-hinged front access door as well as eight curved greenhouse windows that include pop-out front side windows. The door was ajar during the photoshoot, and the seller notes that closing it requires effort due to a damaged hinge. Cracked paint is visible in the gallery below.
The three 10″ steel wheels are finished in silver, and a spare is stowed under the seat. Independent front suspension with leading swingarms, coil springs, and shocks is complemented by a single-sided swingarm and a coilover out back. Stopping power is provided by front hydraulic drums, and a hand-operated, cable-actuated mechanical drum is equipped at the rear. The brakes should be serviced prior to driving.
The right-hand-drive cabin houses a two-wide bench upholstered in blue tartan cloth with gray vinyl trim. Features include black carpeting that was replaced in preparation for the sale as well as a roller accelerator pedal and a rear parcel shelf.
The white three-spoke steering wheel fronts a steering-column-mounted dashboard housing a VDO 80-mph speedometer and a keyed ignition switch. The five-digit odometer shows 14k miles. The steering wheel has no center cap.
The air-cooled 198cc four-stroke single is accessed through a hatch in the rear shelf, while a hinged rear body panel lifts to reveal the exhaust system and the rear wheel, to which power is sent through a multi-plate wet clutch, a four-speed manual gearbox, and a drive chain enclosed in the swingarm. Rust is visible on the exhaust system and rear wheel nut, and the reverse gear is difficult to engage.
The DFW Toy & Car Museum has surpassed its 200‑car limit and is thinning the collection to allow for future purchases.
