This 1962 Chevrolet Corvair 95 is a Loadside pickup that is said to be the lowest ’62 serial number in the Loadside registry. The truck had been stored in a barn for an extended period of time when it was acquired by the seller in 2020, and it subsequently underwent a restoration that included installing a rebuilt 145ci flat-six, refinishing the exterior, refreshing the interior, and overhauling the braking and suspension systems. Further details include 14″ steel wheels, a four-speed manual transaxle, quad headlights, a spray-on bedliner, a floor-mounted shifter, and a locking glovebox. This Corvair 95 pickup is offered at no reserve with refurbishment photos, build records, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The body was disassembled and stripped to bare metal during the refurbishment, at which point the bed floor was reconstructed and the driver’s door, front doglegs, and rear fenders were replaced with new-old stock units, per the seller. The truck was subsequently refinished in two-tone green and white, and it is equipped with a Loadside cargo bed with fixed side walls along with a rear tailgate, a spray-on bedliner, quad headlights, dual side mirrors, and bedside air vents. The windshield, windshield gasket, body weatherstripping, and window channels were also replaced during the build. The body-color 14″ steel wheels feature polished covers and are mounted with 195/75 Hankook Kinergy tires. The braking and suspension systems were overhauled during the build, which included replacing the master brake cylinder, brake drums, brake lines, wheel bearings, U-joints, and ball joints.
The bench seat is upholstered in multi-color striped vinyl. A replacement dashboard and wiring harness have been fitted, and appointments include a floor-mounted shifter, a locking glovebox, and black flooring.
The two-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal-sweep 100-mph speedometer and a fuel gauge that were rebuilt by Corvair Ranch. The five-digit odometer shows 11k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The turn signals and horn do not work.
The rebuilt 145ci air-cooled flat-six was installed during the restoration, and the seller calls it an FC-correct 80-horsepower replacement unit.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
